What is the shelf life of CBD oil?
In principle, every CBD oil should have a best-before date. It is usually the case that CBD oils have a shelf life of about six months after opening. Unopened, it can be even longer. It is important that the CBD oil is stored away from light and refrigerated.
Can you buy CBD legally?
Our CBD oils are registered as oral oral care products in the EU and can be purchased legally.
CBD in pregnancy?
Women should not use CBD products during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This is because it is not known how phytocannabinoids such as CBD affect the unborn child. Likewise, it is not known exactly whether a newborn child absorbs CBD with its mother's milk. Since CBD is metabolised and broken down in the liver, people who regularly take medication should also exercise caution, as interactions may occur. Likewise, people suffering from liver disease or liver damage should not use CBD oils.
Do CBD oils have side effects?

In general, CBD drops are considered to be well tolerated. Mild side effects occur only in rare cases. This is also described by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in its Critical Review Report zu Cannabidiol (CBD).
Can CBD oils cause interactions?
CBD, like many medicines, is metabolised via certain liver enzymes. This means that taking CBD products and medicines at the same time is not advised.

 
For these reasons, CBD oils should not be combined with the following medicines:

• Anticoagulants like warfarin
• Antiepileptic drugs (clobazam)
• Acid inhibitors like omeprazole
• Neuroleptics like risperidone
• Antibiotics like rifampicin
• Benzodiazepines and sleeping pills
• Painkillers like Diclofenac
• Cystotica

If taking medication regularly, it is strongly recommended to consult with a health care professional before using CBD products.

Is CBD oil without THC?
Various products are offered under the term CBD oil: A product in which CBD isolate is dissolved in a carrier oil is THC-free. In comparison, a full-spectrum CBD oil always has small traces of THC. Broad-spectrum oils, on the other hand, are THC-free. This is because the THC is "filtered out" by a special process.
Which CBD oil variety is the best?
Everyone reacts differently to CBD and has different preferences. While one person has good experiences with a full-spectrum extract, another may prefer THC-free products. There is also no general recommendation for the CBD concentration. Can CBD influence a THC test?
No, CBD cannot influence a THC test, as it is simply not "looked for". In a drug test (saliva test, THC rapid test, blood or urine test), only the THC-COOH value is decisive. This is a degradation product of THC and is stored by the body in the fat cells due to its fat-soluble properties.
What kind of CBD products are there?
CBD oil is one of the most widely used CBD products. However, not all CBD oil is the same. The choice is complicated by various factors, such as the origin of the hemp plant, the extraction process used or the carrier oil. It is recommended to go for a full-spectrum extract in organic quality. Other CBD products are available in the form of creams, ointments and gels. Capsules containing either CBD oil or CBD isolate are also available.

Is CBD dangerous?

Therefore, studies use CBD as a pure substance in pharmaceutical quality or synthetic CBD, from which a possible effect can then be derived.

Another difference is that studies use high doses of CBD, which CBD oil cannot provide. For this reason, the study results cannot be transferred to CBD products.

However, this does not mean that CBD oils cannot have any effect. Quite the opposite: High-quality CBD oil can have a calming, anxiety-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect, among other things. In addition, CBD can influence the sensation of pain and thus promote well-being.

When buying CBD oils, always look for organic quality. CBD oil for cats must also be terpene-free and THC-free.
How quickly does CBD oil work in animals?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this. Observe your pet's behaviour after taking the oil and for the first few days.
How does CBD oil work in animals?
Humans and animals have an endocannabinoid system that responds to CBD. This system regulates many processes in the body - from the immune system to sleep.
Side effects of CBD oil for cats?
Previous studies have shown that cats have a fast metabolism and dogs a somewhat slower one. Therefore, the effect of CBD wears off faster in cats than in humans or dogs.

 
CBD oil should not be used in pregnant animals. It is suspected that CBD may affect placental function.
In general, side effects are rare and with the correct dosage there is no concern for your cat.

Signs of excessive dosage in cats:

• Nausea
• Loss of appetite
• Mouth dryness
• Diarrhoea
• Vomiting
• Fatigue

Of course, CBD oil for cats should always be discussed with your vet, especially if your pet is on regular medication.
Side effects of CBD oil for dogs?
There are too few studies to make a clear statement on the dosage and side effects of CBD oil in dogs. In general, CBD is considered to be well tolerated by dogs.

Possible side effects and thus signs of too high a dosage of CBD oil for dogs are:

• Diarrhoea
• Vomiting - straining the gastrointestinal tract
• Fatigue

It usually helps to lower the dosage in the dog.

Nevertheless, the use and dosage should be discussed with a veterinarian. CBD should also not be administered to pregnant dogs. The use of CBD in combination with medication should also be discussed with a veterinarian.
